The reviews for the TRIA Laser Hair Removal System are mixed and the surprising thing is that people either really love it or really hate it and there are very few reviews that are in the middle. One of the most common complaints is that this product does not permanently remove hair even though the manufacturer guarantees that you will get “permanent hair free results”. Some people are very upset that results are not permanent but other reviewers are very happy that even though hair is growing back, it is growing back a lot thinner and lighter than it was before.
Another complaint is that the surface area that emits the pulse is very small with one reviewer describing it as “about the size of the tip of your pinky finger” and you also have to overlap each area you treat by 50%. Because of this a treatment can take a very long time to complete. One reviewer points out however that the part that emits the pulse is small but because of this treatments are less painful.
Although there were a number of people that said they got either poor results or no results whatsoever, there were also a number of people that reported fantastic results. One review came from someone of Arabic descent that says they have light skin and dark hair all over their body and that after using the TRIA for nine months they have had “SUPERB results”. They said that their last treatment was six months ago and they are still hair free.
Another review came from someone that has a medical condition that causes dark hair to grow where it normally wouldn’t. This woman said that she was shaving her face, chest and arms every day and that “this used to be completely traumatic, painful and time-consuming”. She says that she is still shaving after using the TRIA for a year but she also says that the hair is “so greatly reduced that it’s no longer a huge deal”. She estimates that there is a reduction in hair of somewhere between 80 and 90%.
When reviews are so mixed with one group of people saying the exact opposite of the next group, it is very difficult to give a product a recommendation. The TRIA Laser Hair Removal System seems to be something that works great for some people and not at all for other people so our recommendation would be to give it a try if you think it might work for you and simply return it if things don’t work out.
